How to Use Karuppu Kavuni Porridge Mix
For Sweet Porridge:
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Karuppu Kavuni Porridge Mix
1.5 to 2 cups water
Palm jaggery or jaggery powder (to taste)
Coconut milk (optional)
Cardamom powder (optional)
Method:
Add the porridge mix and water to a pan and stir to avoid lumps.
Cook on medium heat for 10–15 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Add jaggery and stir until fully dissolved.
Optional: Add coconut milk and cardamom powder before serving.
Serve warm or chilled.
For Savory Porridge (Kanji):
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Karuppu Kavuni Porridge Mix
1.5 to 2 cups water
Salt to taste
Buttermilk (optional, after cooling)
Chopped shallots, curry leaves, coriander (optional)
Method:
Add porridge mix and water to a pot, stirring well to avoid lumps.
Cook for 10–15 minutes until fully cooked.
Add salt and allow it to cool slightly.
Mix in buttermilk and garnish with herbs or chopped onions.
Serve with pickle or side dish.
